The Summit of Coralville

Grand Living at Bridgewater is a beautiful upscale senior living community that has many impressive amenities. Their staff is extremely professional and very warm & welcoming. I loved the Grand Piano right off the lobby that was music playing throughout the day. Their food, activities, exercise room, and the all female memory unit definitely make them stand out from other facilities.

My mother lived here from November, 2022 to December, 2023 when she passed away. She transitioned very quickly after moving from NW Iowa where she lived her entire life previously. The food was exceptional and the staff very caring. The activities were varied and offered something for everyone. At the time they were short-staffed and we had to hire outside assistance which worked out fairly well. The only suggestion I would recommend is a simpler telephone system. It was difficult to manage for all of us including my mother. All in all Grand Living was a positive experience for my family.

We are pleased with our decision to move to Grand Living at Bridgewater. We appreciate each of the many staff who work here in all of the various services - dining, housekeeping, maintenance and the administrative staff. And we like and enjoy the residents who really seem like our new friends. All of the meals, lunch and dinner are delicious. We like that the meals are included in our monthly fee and so most of the residents go to the dining room for meals and so there is especially much fellowship with all our friends. Lastly, we want to mention that there are many interesting activities in which for us to participate. Bridgewater was the right choice for our family. My mother moved 2 months ago to one of the Memory Care neighborhoods. The dedication and kindness shown to the memory care residents by the activities, fitness and nursing staff is outstanding. My mother is doing more during the day now than she did at her home. She loves the variety of activities. And the residents of the community share important friendships. Staff throughout the facility know her name and stop to brighten her day.

My mother’s husband passed away in NE and we kids brought her to IA to live near us. Because she had been diagnosed with dementia, we wanted to find her a safe place to live as she couldn’t take care of her home. We looked at several places who had a combination of independent, assisted and memory care with an activity component as a part of their care. We were immediately impressed with the clean modern appearance of the building, the helpfulness of the front desk staff, the compassion of the directors, the nurses, the caretakers, the activity directors, especially in the Lavender Unit memory care where mom has been since June 2023. The memory care units are very active and intermix with the rest of the building for monthly activities, which include bringing in local musical groups
