Thrifty Car Rental (Airport)

Cashier could not have been any nicer! The cars are dirty. The second car assigned smells of smoke/weed and the seats are dirty!!! I am waiting for them to open to talk to someone.

Thrifty really takes advantage of travelers who's flights get delayed. My wife and I had a reservation for pick up in Dayton for about 300 dollars and when we got delayed and discovered we not only couldn't fly into dayton but had to pick it up at another airport they jacked up their rates pretty high. I get there's business behind it all but the cost is absorbent and it really screws over travelers that are at the mercy of these airline companies that can only do so much just to make it their destination. Not satisfied with how they take advantage of travelers dealing with unexpected delays

They charged me twice. I ended up paying almost $700 on a $345 rental. I wouldn't recommend using them!

This is the car rental company that gives car rental companies a bad name. I just received a “vehicle incident report” trying to blame me for PRE-EXISTING damage. Thankfully, I always take photos prior to leaving the lot when I pick up a rental car so I have time/location stamped proof that the scratches were there previously. I find it very hard to believe that this damage was not already documented in their system, and I doubt I am the first person they have pulled this scam with. I will never rent from Hertz/Thrifty again. I believe the same people run 1 or 2 of the other rental car companies out of DAY, as well as CMH, so watch out. If you choose to rent from DAY Hertz/Thrifty, I highly recommend that you take meticulous photos of your vehicle before leaving the lot…you very well may n

I recently had an issue with overbilling on an upgrade. Even thought the receipt was in agreement with what they charged, it was not what I was told by the local Thrifty Agent. After two emails to the customer care center the situation was rectify. I commend Thrifty for doing the right thing. I will definitely continue to use Thrifty as a go to car rental.
