Brought my car in for mild misfires and jerkiness that happened on uphill acceleration starting from 0mph. They held my car for several days. When I later called, they told me I had major valve issues that would cost $5000+ to fix. I couldn't afford that. So I took my car back, after all, it was running fine otherwise, nothing alarming. I wanted a second opinion. But when I got it back, the engine was shaking and sputtering, the check engine light was on, the throttle warning light was on. They insisted they did nothing but replace a few spark plugs and things and that the car was running like that when I brought it in. I know for a fact it was not. When I drove it back home it barely reached 45mph, any faster and it felt like it would give out. They didn't charge me which I guess is good.
My check engine light came on outside of Medford and Valley View Auto was recommended to me by a tow driver. Matt was able to look at my car right away, quickly diagnosed the problem and had me back on the road the same day. These guys were very polite and explained the diagnostics professionally. Thank you again for your kindness, especially the day before Thanksgiving!
They looked into a vehicle with a check engine light for cylinder misfires (something most car part store diagnose for FREE) and replaced the knock sensor and changed the oil at 1500 miles, then charged 800, 150 for an oil change $40 for a knock sensor and $30 for the gasket the rest was Labor for a job that has an average of a 1 1/2 hour repair, for an issue that continued after getting the car back, spent 15 minutes taking out the spark plugs to find them in bad condition after spending 40 dollars on new plugs the car ran fine, these mechanics don't do their homework nor are they worth their weight in salt. Dont waste money on these people its a scummy place to get repairs and not worth your dime please avoid. Wouldn't be surprised if the sodas in the lobby are overpriced as well. These
The shuttle driver should not be driving. Hopefully someone else called it in but was driving erratically on the freeway and on ramp. I've driven for work before I couldn't imagine flipping people off cutting them off and riding ass that hard on the freeway while in a company vehicle with its name and number plastered on the back that man cut off multiple people was driving extremely unsafe. I wouldn't be surprised if someone called the cops as well as the company. You guys should really vet your drivers better. This is a super bad look simply because of your free shuttle service driver. I would never come here cuz I don't think I'd make it home safe. That's for damn sure. Whoever was driving on I-5 South October 22nd at 12:40 p.m. with the license plate of 270 lrv needs fired.
EDIT- I took one star away for 2 reasons. 1) I ended up needing the nationwide warranty, but this shop neglected to include part numbers for the defective part. That info is required for the warranty work to be completed. The new shop was able to call them and get the required info. 2) My local shop runs $350 less for the same job. I guess that's part of the "break down on vacation tax". Not the end of the world but its a bummer when you dont have options out on the road. We're talking about a $1k repair. $350 is a large vacation breakdown tax. Original Review -76 Station with an auto repair shop on-site. We had a fuel pump go out in our Chevy Truck while driving down I-5. We were coming from Sacramento, CA, and on our way to the dunes in Winchester Bay. We got a tow to this shop. They h
