Village Concepts of Issaquah-Spiritwood at Pine Lake

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly well trained, and kind staff and caregivers! I am a healthcare clinician providing in home medical care. I have visited residents at this facility for over 1 year and almost routinely witnessed the excellent care they provide. Today, Leah, a caregiver was helping a resident apply her make-up with gentle attention to detail. And Jordan, the wellness director, (hope I got your title correct) stopped what she was doing when I showed up unexpectedly to give report on a resident. Thank you all for showing up each day and making a difference in all of our lives.

What a wonderful place for my parents to live. I looked around for different locations because my parents couldn't do it on their own anymore. I toured 4 different places including Spiritwood and I kept coming back to Spiritwood. I found that Spiritwood actually cares about the people living there and the staff has taken the time to get to know my parents and understands their wants and needs. My parents seem to be thriving vs when they lived in an apartment. They have friends, they are eating 3 times a day, they go to movies, socials and much much more. I love this place and the staff for what they do, good people, great location and my parents love it.

My mother has been living at Spiritwood since December 2018. She has memory issues, but still likes to be active. I love this place. The apartments are cleaned right down to washing the bedding. The whole facility is also so clean without any coverup smell. Meals are served in the dining room where friendships form. The servers get to know each resident and know their special needs as well as likes and dislikes. The staff are all wonderful and caring. From the smiling face greeting you as you walk in, to the aids (who do everything from helping mom remember how to work her channel changer to making sure her heat is set correctly) I can’t say enough about the nurses and aids tracking mom down to give her her medicine each day. My father lives at Spritwood. He's going to be 93 very soon. Recently, I listened to a public radio discussion about elder abuse and the concerning state of our assisted living environments. I could only think how very fortunate our family is to be a part of Spiritwood and their caring staff and management. The environment is ALWAYS clean, what I refer to as 'spic and span' everywhere--dining room, bathrooms, communal areas, and private living spaces. That says a lot! When I visit, I immediately notice how good this big home smells when I walk in the door and how busy everyone is all the time. Immediately following all meals, the capable staff gets to work cleaning the dining area. Spiritwood prides itself on having an ample and professional staff--from cleaners to dining servers to nurses

My grams lives here & I don’t think I could’ve found a better place for her. At first, I was very skeptical BUT Chris reassured me of all the activities she would be doing and the occasional family gatherings. He’s so friendly & knowledgeable. Thank you Chris!
