Walmart Auto Care Center

Been going to them for almost 10 years. Used to defend them from folks who wouldn't give them a chance because "It's Walmart". Never had issues. HOWEVER, they made ONE mistake, using the wrong oil in my vehicle which I had to get repaired at the main dealer, and they REFUSE to help me out with recouping my losses. DO NOT USE THIS AUTO SHOP. Find one that's privately owned. These people will not care if they make a mistake and ruin your vehicle. I really can't believe that they would do this to me over 300 dollars after giving them 10 years of my services. It's disgusting and pathetic.

My husband and I were traveling through Pierre, SD and needed a tire rotation. We live in Montana and have experienced horrible customer service, so we were hesitant to try another Walmart auto center. We called local auto shops but they were all booked, so we had to bite the bullet. We called Walmart at 4:30 pm and they said they would be able to do it first thing tomorrow morning (8am). I asked if we needed to make an appt but the man said it was unnecessary and that they would be able to do it. Due to this, we car camped in the parking lot so we could be first in line. We drove to the auto center at 7:40am and waited. A lady came out at 8am and said she couldn’t perform any auto services until 10am. She had to kick out three customers including us. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE GET OUR CARS SERV

Sadly, I have to give them at least one star, but they sure as hell don't deserve it. I called the Auto Center as I was getting off work several nights ago and was told that if I got my pickup out there soon they should have plenty of time to get to it before they closed at 8pm. I got out there a couple minutes later, just after 7, and they were just finishing the last vehicle there. I was turned away with an empty shop and an hour until closing, and all I needed was a quick oil change. Not a good way to keep customers in Pierre. This will be the last time I waste my time and money here.

Bought a tire from Walmart and they didn't even bother to put it on for us, said that we had to buy 2 tires for them to put it on. I said I would buy the second tire so they could put it on but the guy said they closed in 5 minutes and couldn't do it. So I was stuck put a tire on by myself in the dark in the back of the Walmart parking lot. Very poor customer service and the guy who by the way wasn't wearing a name tag was a jerk about the whole think and that's putting it nicely.

I'd give them 10 stars if I could. So I blew out a tire a couple months ago on a trip, had all 4 replaced at a *different* walmart tire center (all-wheel drive vehicle), but later realized these tires were the wrong size - much too large. I made the Pierre walmart tire center aware of the issue and they had my back 100%. They vocalized how this wasn't my fault, and shot back at three separate excuses for why I wouldn't be able to swap the erroneous tires for new appropriately sized ones from this different walmart on the phone. At the end of the day, they installed the correct tires and this was on a Sunday. Great culture here - very professional, team-oriented, friendly, and they have the customer's needs squarely at the foundation of the operation.
