We flew from Anchorage to Fairbanks to pick up a vehicle, and just a few miles down the highway, the wheel bearing gave out. It was early in the morning, and after calling around, no one could help us—until we found Alex. His shop had only a few reviews, but all were five stars, so we gave him a call. Alex answered immediately and, despite already working on a vehicle with no engine in his shop, told us to bring ours by so he could at least check if it was safe to drive. After a quick test drive, he confirmed it was absolutely not safe. Without hesitation, he moved the other vehicle in his shop using a forklift, put ours on the lift, and started diagnosing the issue.
