Avis Car Rental

Up until we got to Flagstaff and turned in our car for the flight. Everything was fine. Good price, good rate, they were even helpful at getting me a discounted rate. However, When we learned that our flight was canceled due to weather, and that we may be able to drive to Phoenix and fly out there if we could get our vehicle back. Avis in Flagstaff airport couldn't release the vehicle back to us. And left us stranded in the airport. We had to Uber to a hotel. But we found a car at Flagstaff Rental Car, at the Chevrolet dealership in Flagstaff. That guy was awesome. Came and picked us up got us squared away, he was surprised how Avis left us stranded. If we had know about them earlier we could have probably made it to Phoenix and got home on time.

Everything cool with the car. Nontherless you should have an option for late delivery. It's very uncomfortable to have to return the car at the exact same hour you rented it. Charge me a bit extra by the hour or have a late delivery car fee, but not a whole extra day. So we had to return at 9:30am with our bus not leaving till 2:15pm, and we had no option either to leave our baggage there so no solution to our problem from the business. Also the girl at desk service had very little to no explanation to us when renting the car, very poor attention. You should explain all the policed to your costumers because every rental car company is not the same she didn't mentioned any of the implications of your service or how the car should be returned including gas or insurance. GREAT EXPERIENCE at this Avis location on Tuesday Oct 21! The kind lady working the desk alone at 10:30 AM was dealing with 3 customers simultaneously in the most professional manner. She was able to replace my car (which had a mechanical issue) in less than 20 minutes. She made the whole process smooth and easy and made my whole day better!

Had a great experience, got to go on my trip and pricing was reasonable. Vehicle was a newer Hyundai Tucson, it was clean and maintained. Made the trip even better. Customer service was great as well

Don't trust this rental agency and go somewhere else, they are completely dishonest. First, I got a car with the gas tank almost empty (got a warning "50 miles remaining" after driving 15 miles), but the document indicated that tank was full. I never had any problem until now so stop checking, but for sure I will resume. Moreover, I gave back the car one day in advance (at 10 pm), outside opening hours (which I asked to do when taking the car): they registered the return at the closing time of the following day, such that they could count one extra day. So in total we paid more than 100$ extra for a 500$ booking. Note also that they also opened late, are understaffed and we had to wait 30 minutes to get the car with only two persons in front of us.
