Budget Car Rental

Beware zero leniency or flexibility on drop off. Was going to be charged 65 dollars or a full day for dropping off less than an hour late after calling to let them know I was running slightly behind and filling up the tank before I exchanged with them for a cheaper vehicle for another week. Wasted a trip to town just ended up keeping the same vehicle for a day and returning for my other rental tomorrow because I refuse to be charged a whole day for an hour with notice. Also the car they gave me was dirty and had spilled coffee on the console along with trash in the back seat

Would not book with budget rental. Rented a car for a day, unfortunately got a flat tire around 11:30pm returning to the airport. They did not offer any bit of assistance, they also provided a vehicle without a spare tire. I proceeded to pay for a tow service, not back to the airport, but to an even farther location that they had requested all while trying to get back to the airport to make my flight. I was then charged 300$ a week later for a single tire. A one day rental turned into a 640$ experience!!! Terrible place

I had an absolutely unacceptable experience with this company. The level of unprofessionalism displayed was beyond belief. The cars were not just dirty, they were filthy beyond words. The pictures you see are how they rent out cars. It's not a return. Despite there being other cars available on the lot, the super rude ladies at the front desk flat out refused to provide me with a different vehicle. Their dismissive attitude was appalling, with one even going as far as to say, "If you don't like it here, go to another company." Stranded in Fairbanks with a group of 6 people because they decided to give us a compact car instead of the SUV with 3rd row seating that we booked MONTHS ago. Showed copies of paperwork and screenshots and the woman working at the counter literally couldn’t care less. Said basically to take what was available. Every renal company is fully booked and we’re stuck. So we have 6 travelers with luggage and no vehicle to use for the 5 days we’re here. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I had a terrible experience with Budget Car Rental. They gave me a car with a broken windshield right from the start, which was both unsafe and unacceptable. On top of that, they charged me an extremely high rental price compared to what was originally shown on Expedia. To make things worse, when I reported the issue, they asked me to exchange the car in Anchorage—forcing me to drive almost 350 miles just to swap vehicles. This was a huge inconvenience and completely unfair to me as a customer. Overall, I felt overcharged, misled, and poorly treated. I would not recommend Budget to anyone looking for a reliable and honest car rental service.
