Cal-Nevada Towing

This Tow company plays the system so that they can get more money out of you. They do work for AAA but they know that some people do get stranded on some of the roads that have snowed on and dirt road. They would tell the AAA that this is off-road so AAA does not cover anything that is off-road. I was stranded on Forest Rte. 19 which is a public road but the pavement ends at the beginning of the road and it turned into a dirt road towards Lake Valley reservoir. So after they tell AAA that this is a dirt road, they will be able to charge you $800 to tow you. They are clearly playing the system and are so so greedy. a normal tow truck actually showed up and got me out of there for 300 bucks. They know that on this highway people get stranded and they just pray on people. It’s such a bad day

The dispatcher was easy to reach and communicate with - we had been waiting 3 days for a tow of our new van that had been blocking the road after the brakes failed and were relieved to finally find someone to take the job. STEVE was OUTSTANDING - he made quick work of helping to finish clearing the berm (we had done our best to keep it clear through an epic storm). His confident, competent and warm demeanor was refreshing and so appreciated, thank you Steve!!! Wanted to shower him with coffee and cookies, but he only accepted gratitude. Highly recommend Cal-Nevada Towing.

My car was stuck in the snow today, Paige was informative and kept me updated with how fast help would arrive. Fast friendly service I give them 10/10 Thank you cal Nevada towing 👍🏼

I never thought I'd be writing a 5-star review of a tow company, but they absolutely earned it. My truck and camper were destroyed in an accident. Cal-Nevada in Truckee recovered them and got them to their yard (a complicated task of it's own). They were incredibly compassionate and helpful. They went out of their way to help me recover my stuff and work with both myself and my insurance company. Just really good people. Megan in the office was really responsive, and Steve went out of his way to make sure I had access when I really needed it. Thank you!

Angie and the employees obviously need training. AAA informed them that i would not need my AAA card because they havent sent my card yet. Angie refused to do the service request with my Drivers license. This tow service is a joke! I had to tell her how to do her job! She finally got back to me about how she would do the service in 90 min. 3 hours pass and the driver was still on its way with no communication what so ever. They costed me $500 of missed work. She is the most disrespectful person I have ever dealt with. Her attitude and tone was completely unacceptable. I have canceled my AAA membership unless they contract with a different towing company.
