I was in for a smog check to register from our of state on a 5 year old vehicle, so my experience was pretty quick and easy. In and out in less than 30 minutes after being the third person in line with a busy shop. From what I overheard with other customers who were having more challenging issues with their vehicles, the shop seemed really fair and the team did a great job of explaining options, pricing, programs available and next steps.

My personal car overheated on the way up to our place in Truckee, so I called Hy-Tech and talked to Josh.  Josh fit me in to their busy schedule later that day for a though diagnosis and sound recommendations for a repair.  After getting the needed parts (water pump and thermostat) the repair was made the next day and I was back on the road just after lunch.  On my trip back home to the South bay with a couple of errands on the way I drove over 300 miles with no issues at all with the newly repaired car.  I really appreciate the data driven diagnosis and excellent communication of what was happening with the diagnosis and repair of car.  I am also grateful that Hy-Tech found time to turn a stranger with an unknown car with a wonky cooling system without an appointment into a satisfied cust
