I highly recommend German Import Garage. We have been bringing our BMW to them for regular maintenance service and any needed repairs since we moved to Truckee. It's easy to get in quickly for appointments. The team is consistently professional, trustworthy, extremely knowledgeable and good communicators. What I appreciated most was when I did need a repair (new water pump), how clearly they explained what was required and walked me through the details without any pressure. The pricing was fair and transparent, with no surprises. It’s refreshing to find a shop that combines honesty, efficiency, and great customer service. I will definitely be returning for future service.

Situation: First time Audi owner. (25 year Toyota truck owner) First day of a two week road trip. Drove 7 hours from Boise, heading to the Monterey area. Low oil pressure light comes on in Reno, we make it to first night Truckee destination. Progression: I'm so grateful to even FIND an import garage in Truckee! AND, bonus! They will take it in for diagnostics! Wow! The assistance was caring (which was nice) and professional. The building is clean and welcoming. They even provided a loaner car (a nice one!) that helped! I highly recommend GIG to anyone who needs service on their vehicle.

I come to Truckee often for work. Woke up and my car threw some warning about the coolant. I was recommended to this shop from a friend and I was BLOWN away by their customer service and ability to explain things to me in a way I understood exactly what was going on. They fixed the car in less than a work day after giving me the expectation that it may not be fixed until next week. They took me to go get a rental car and called me around 4 o’clock to tell me it was ready and my work trip was back on track! I was very impressed when it came time to tell me what services they recommend in how I did not need to handle them right now and that I would be safe to drive home and get it handled another time.
