Charles Town Auto Wash

I have to say, the people working here should have tipped me off. The car wash itself made some odd noises and I was terrified I was going to get out to scratches on my brand new car. I paid for the highest level wash which included a tire shine and towel dry. The man that “dried” my car used a wet towel, so there were streaks everywhere. I think the tire shine was just a really old brush with some oil that he very quickly half-ass did a brief touch of the tire. Then he went to help his friend dry off and shine his red jeep. My car was still wet, like dripping into my driveway. I will never be using this place again.

This is my first ever google review. If you value your car, don’t go here. The guy at the door whose only job is to line your car up couldn’t even do that. Just getting lined up to enter the car wash itself left damage on the bottom of my car, his response “oh it’s okay, it’s probably just the oil pan or the fenders.” Imagine, somebody telling you damage to your $65,000 car is “okay.” I’ve been through this car wash twice and it’s consistent, scratches were left in the same exact spot both times. Terrible business practice. There’s no way they don’t know this is a habitual issue but instead of trying to fix the issue they just leave a sign saying “We’re not responsible for the damage to your car.”

As a small business owner myself I love supporting small businesses and am more understanding with bumps you get sometimes. I gotta tell you this place works hard to go out of business. I have tried three times to get my car washed, haven't been successfull yet. First two times it was because I had a trailer hitch on my truck, the guy at booth claimed it damages their equipment. That's not accurate, I have used a ton of care washes and not one has had an issue with a trailer hitch nor has anything been damaged. Well now I have a new truck with no trailer hitch. I come over to get a car wash plan, see the flashing "OPEN" sign yet not a person to be found and there are cones preventing people from driving in. Sent my Chevrolet Suburban there for a wash and detail and couldn't be more disappointed! My truck is NOT clean at all. It literally looks the same as it did before it was taken there. I've tried calling to get a manager on the phone and can't even get an answer. Someone answered once and just hung up on me. I am beyond mad and will not bring my vehicles there and would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I added a few pics so everyone can see how dirty it is.

We used to come here every Sunday. Service went down, prices went up, we haven't been back in over 2 years. I should have heard the wisdom in my wife's tone when she said "oh, you're going to this one"...but I didn't and we went. We paid $32 for a car wash, assuming that, when I requested the #1 I was getting the inside/outside. No, I was told that I didn't choose the 'right' #1...the #1 I should have asked for was the $60, #1. So they wanted nearly $30 more to vacuum the inside and wipe it down. The exterior wash was literally no better than the $15 automated wash just down the road...and at least it's touchless. We won't be back. Its always sad to see a business fail but with service and prices like this, its no wonder.
