Called and confirmed an appointment two days out after explaining a noise when driving. I came in respectfully and explained the situation. The owner mumbled something, simply dismissing it and said he wouldn't work on it and told me 'people like me' would put him out of business. I'm bewildered and frustrated.

Beyond Rude. There is no need to be nasty to customers for no reason. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

I want to start by saying I’m not one to ever post a negative review online, but my boyfriend (who is the nicest person ever) went in today and they were rude as hell about him getting an inspection on his car. Not only that, but they also told him they wouldn’t waste their time on him or his car. We were referred here by my sister who stated that they are really nice and honest, but we won’t ever go back after that kind of customer service. Apparently she had a much better experience somehow. If you don’t want to handle inspections, maybe you should take it off your list of services, not that I would recommend a single person goes here for a thing.

Came in for a simple inspection with no concerns or prior issues as I have gotten repairs in the last few months. A worker at Harris failed my inspection and gave me an estimate of $800+. I accepted the failed inspection but denied any repairs - choosing to take it to my town’s garage. That was when I was informed there were no issues with my vehicle and that Harris Service failed my inspection in order to charge me for superficial repairs. Being a student at SUNY Geneseo, this is the closest garage to the campus which makes it easy for them to prey on unsuspecting and/or broke students. Besides almost getting ripped off, I also had to risk a ticket for the failed inspection as I had to drive home the next day. I wouldn’t risk being a Harris customer on a slow day…

I am stranded 7 hours from home with a broken down car and Harris auto was recommended, when I called the representative was rude and unprofessional and did not even listen to me before telling me that just because I had car trouble didn’t mean he could fix it today. I never asked for it to be fit today and know I will have to fly home and come back for the car because parts will have to be procured for the repair. What a terrible experience! Shame on them!
