Heath's got me in that day to get it diagnosed and had the car back to me Thursday afternoon before my trip. A few months back my truck was having some problems and I took it to a different mechanic in town. They were unable to fix the problem and reversed the wires on my spark plugs making the problem worse than it was. I own a 2012 Toyota Tundra that is used for in town snow travel. Although it is over 12 years old it spends most of the time in a garage and has approximately 32K miles. I wanted to bring the fluid maintenance work up to speed based on age, obviously not on miles. Heath's was one of three quotes I received to accomplish a drain and replace (DAR) or flush of the following mechanical components. Auto Trans System, Transfer Case, both Front and Rear Differentials, Braking system, Power Steering, engine oil, and Cooling System. Although they were NOT the cheapest of the estimates -- I choose them for their professionalism, customer interaction, positive reviews from other customers, and my overall impression of their trustworthiness to do a great job. Took my car in before they closed after I had a flashing CEL, due to misfire on cylinder 4, p0304. Next day, they ran the $200 test and claimed I had weak cylinders due to weak ignition coils and aftermarket spark plugs, and they decided that all spark plugs and coils needed to be replaced for a total quote of $1100 (including the 200 test fee). I paid the test fee, but went ahead and replaced just the spark plugs myself. Afterwards, my car had no check engine light. Saved nearly 750 bucks doing it myself and only replacing what was needed. Happy with the great and quick service, but seemed too overkill and overpriced for a quick 20 minute job.

This might be a small thing, but you decide. Were they nice? Yes. Was the work done well? I don't know I'm not a mechanic, but the truck is running fine, so I will trust it was. Was the price fair? I don't know. I brought it in for an oil change / fuel filter change and left paying over $3,100. A lot of recommendations of work that should get done were made so again, I'm not a mechanic, I have to trust it was needed and done well at a fair price. Where my concern comes in is with 2 things. First is, I was told my truck would be done Friday at 5pm, 30 minutes before closing, at the time I did not have a ride so I said I would pick up Saturday but was told they are not open over the weekend so it would have to wait till Monday or they could leave the key out and I could pick up if I paid

The people here are very professional and the work they performed was reasonably priced and fast. Tim took my first call. He was genuinely concerned about my trip from Phoenix just to have my son’s car fixed. He was able to get me in right away. Justin, also an employee, showed a ton of class…even offered a ride back to my truck which saved me an uber expense. The car is fixed, my son is happy, and I have nothing but gratitude for this experience. We will be regulars now. My daughter will be attending college up there next year. I am relieved to know my kids are in good hands when their dad is so far away! Thank you everyone at Heath’s Auto!
