Mark's Auto Repair

I own a 1971 VW Bus, It's my daily driver. I live local. Older aircooled V-Dubs are quite easy to work on, but their engines are seen less frequently by most mechanics. I Asked Mark's Auto to install a thermostat kit and clutch. They indicated they're not afraid of Volkswagens and had experience with Porshe engines. I provided parts. They provided labor. I took a chance with Mark's Auto because they are nearby. I'm seeking a local mechanic because the one I trusted in Bend moved to Phoenix. Mark's looked the bus over and provided a quote for the kit/clutch installation. Their estimate was High due to lack of experience with air-cooled VWs, and to cover their butt for unexpected obstacles. I gave them an opportunity, rolling the dice, so to speak. I got my ride towed from warm springs. 5k plus and I had to bring it back twice. Towed it twice. Paid another 779.00 and still my car isn't running. I guess it's a pick and choose who they do a good service for. Not recommended my Native people. Go to the other guy up the street. I'm out thousands a day waiting for it t I be fixed from another mechanic in madras. Shame on them.

Picked these guys based on reviews. I have never felt more cheated. Charged me for a computer program that turned out to not be needed. Then charged me for a new computer module of some sort, only ro get hime and realize nothing was fixed. Out over $500 still no running vehicle

What a great shop!!! Quality work with excellent prices. Shop replaced our radiator so we could get back home. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Order our replacement OEM radiator while we were on the phone and then made room for us on there schedule for the next day. Mark and Mathew were fantastic We made it home to Spokane with no problems

Broke down in Warm Springs during the Cram wildfires due to what we thought was a belt issue. Got towed into town originally to a Ford dealership, but someone at the hotel we were staying at reccomended Mark's. We called early in the morning and they got us in ASAP. The car finished about an hour and a half later with an incredibly fair price. Highly recommend.
