Walmart Auto Care Center

Completely inept doesn't describe the automotive department. I ordered tires, they were received and I scheduled an appointment at 7am. I show up at 6:59. I wait till 7:15....DOORS ARE LOCKED AND LIGHTS ARE OFF. I go into the main store and walk to automotive. I see 4 employees standing there. I ask if they are open. " technically, yes but there is no one here to unlock ". ..........what? The manager didn't show up. I wait 15 minutes, still no manager. Still dark shop and locked doors. I go to the service department at the front of the store asking for the store manager...she is missing, also. 8:00 I canceled the tire order. I have things to do. I couldn't even get someone to offer to CALL ME when the shop opened. Completely inept. All you had to do WAS OFFER TO CALL

So my son decided to take his car to the Walmart Auto Center for a simple oil change. Simple. In. Out. Done. Or so we thought. Plot twist: it wasn’t a Chevy. The moment they saw the car, everything stopped. Tools paused mid-air. Eyes narrowed. You could practically hear the mechanic thinking, “Sir… what in the Hot Wheels is this?” This vehicle—best described as a golf cart that hit the gym and never left—apparently broke the space-time continuum of the Auto Center. It wasn’t in their system. It wasn’t a Chevy. It wasn’t something they had emotionally prepared for. My son was politely informed that they could not change the oil… not because it was impossible… but because they didn’t know how. Which honestly made the whole experience kind of legendary. My car battery was bad but still under warranty. I was able to upgrade my battery simply by covering the price difference, receiving FULL CREDIT for the battery that was under warranty. Not only was I able to upgrade batteries but my new battery has a full two year warranty as well.. all for appx. $30 (price difference)

Don't bother ordering in tires and setting an appointment. They will send you an email the day of the appointment to cancel on your appointment after you've already paid for it saying your tires aren't ready. Now I'm stuck waiting on new tires, when they know they couldn't get it in the time quoted. So if you love driving around on a donut and not getting your scheduled time honored they are great, if you actually want your tires done go with a real shop and avoid these clowns.

Had a nail in my tire and they fixed it quickly. The lady at the register was friendly.
