Avis Car Rental

Had a reservation that was for 6 but my flight got delayed till 9. The Avis employee called me to see where I was. I told her about the delay and she let me know they would be closing at 630 even though they were supposed to to be open till 10:15. I even call customer service and waited in hold for over an hour. They said I would have a car available. I get there and Avis is closed. Always nice to get in from a long trip and in freezing weather with no way to drive two hours to where I need to go. Great job by Avis and the lady that needed to get to the bar to party instead of doing her job.

I've rented plenty of cars but this was the worst. I rented it at O'Hare airport in Chicago. The experience paying for it was fine. The employee at the counter was very nice. However, when we went to pick it up there were literally 20 people in line also waiting and we stood there for 25 minutes. Instead of having a large area with all the cars and being sent to go pick one or having them promptly bring one up, like every other airport I've been to, they were bringing them one by one and said the delay was because they were washing each car. I wanted a Camry or similar because I like them and they get good had mileage. They gave me a Mazda CX-9. It drives nicely and has good get up and go. However, the windshield wipers should've been replaced at least a year ago based on how they work. I

Absolutely the WORST location to rent a car from!! My rental was NOT clean it had Trash in the back seat and ALL the cup holders including the ones on the door!! Got a discount but had to drive away with a dirty car! Rep Becky was EXTREMELY rude couldn't answer ANY questions her reply was "I have to call a manager to confirm" confirm what? How much will I be charged a day to extend my rental???? Kept saying computers were down so I couldn't get a receipt for my rental was told that it was going to be emailed to me and NEVER did! The overall experience was the worst very unprofessional, and rude customer reps I EVER met and I've been renting from Avis for YEARS this location is hands down the worst!!!

Everything went so smooth with Avis. We got in a day late because our Airlines flight was delayed and we missed our connecting flight. Avis handled it beautifully! The girls assisted us after we missed the flight and when we arrived the next day. We still received the correct vehicle and they explained everything in detail. They were our happy angels after what we went through with the airlines.

Updated 6-27-23... I rented here again Received a $300 charge for cleaning. Was told there was excessive animal hair in it. No animal was in the vehicle at any point. Drove vehicle to green bay. It sat in a parking lot there for 2 days. Drove it back. Called Avis customer support and this location is privately owned and they cannot help. Watch out for this location, they are clearly scamming customers. Review below is older: Ash tray under the passenger seat. The "non smoking" car did not smell that way and nobody addressed it with me. $450 cleaning fee tho.
